Ordering Sod

Orders may be placed for sod or trees by calling

Our sod is cut fresh daily. Orders may be placed weeks in advance up to the day that it is needed. Availability of schedule times varies with seasonal demand. Our typical season runs from April 15 to Nov. 25 (these dates are dependent on the weather and do vary).

Ordering Trees

Tree orders are accepted at any time. Our trees are dug in April or September/October. In spring we dig for orders and also dig extra inventory for our irrigated holding yard.

Measuring for sod

Our sod is sold by the square foot. Small rolls have 10-sq. ft. (2'x5') to a roll. Our large sod rolls are 250-300 sq. ft. 4'x(50-90')

How to measure the square footage areas to be sodded:

With a tape measure, measure the various areas of your planned lawn. Include these measurements on a sketch of the areas, with the length, width and any irregular features. Using the formulas listed below, determine the square footage of sod needed.

Square or Rectangle
Area = Length x Width

Circles
Area = 3.14 x (Radius x Radius)

Ovals
Area = 0.8 x Length x Width at midpoint

Triangles
Area = 0.5 x Base x Height
